2nd Galashiels Girls Brigade Company - St. Ninians Church, Galashiels

We are a 'Youth Group' with a difference. If your daughter is aged 5 or upwards and looking for something different, then we are the organisation for her.

We are a Christian based, uniformed, organisation but our teaching of the spiritual badgework is different to Bible Class or Sunday Club - we teach through stories, singing, dancing, drawing, crafts, games and many many more activities. So although the girls are having fun, they are also learning a bit about the workings of Jesus.

We have been going now for about 15 years and are growing in numbers each year. We average about 60 girls per session all working towards gaining their badges at the end of the term.

We attend regional competitions, we have trips out each year, parties at Christmas etc. and cover a wide variety of topics from sweet making, aerobics, emergency services, keep fit, fund raising as well as the spiritual side of the badgework.
We commence the first Wednesday in September and meet from 6pm - 8pm every Wednesday night through until May.

All age groups are very welcome as are parent helpers or youths over the age of 18 who may be willing to come along to help, or perhaps, do their officer training.
