Braw Lads
| The Braw Lads' Executive
The function of the Braw Lads' Executive Council is to organise
the events of the Braw Lads' Gathering, from the raising of
the funds to the fulfilment of the Gathering. To achieve this,
the members meet every month, year in year out but so far
as the public is concerned the main interest is confined to
a little over a week with a few events taking place before
that.
A new Braw Lad and Braw Lass are chosen by five members
of the Executive Council, plus the Chairman and Vice Chairman
prior to Declaration Night. Their Attendants are the Braw
Lad and Lass from the two previous years. Announcement of
the new principles takes place in April and from then on the
six are instructed on their duties at least twice a week.
